February 8-11th NWFA Sand a finish school in Vancouver B.C. was a great success. I (Reuben Mitchell RM Wood Floor Specialties) was greatful to be an assistant instructor led by Kjell Nymark and assisted by Michael Phillips (Ultimate hardwoods Edmonton), Brandon Spearman (Glitsa, Virginia, Padco etc.) Johannes Boonstra (Rubio Monocoat), Kirk Anderson (Duraseal), Ethan (Arboritec), Graeme Rosen (Werkmaster), and many more from Bona and other manufacturers.

The class included instruction in sanding techniques from top professionals and hands on work with many wood floor finishes. Some of the things covered included water based top coats, oil alcohol and water based stains, hard wax oils, cerusing, reactive treatments, UV Cured finish, hand scraped floors, stripping aluminum oxide finish, etc.

If you have no taken an NWFA class yet you should!
